Your information, kept carefully.
This notice explains what KERUB Estate Management ("KERUB") collects on kerubem.com and in KERUB OS, the KERUB app, why, and the choices you have. It is written under Rwanda's Law No. 058/2021 on the protection of personal data and privacy.
Who we are
KERUB Estate Management, KG 611 ST, Remera, Kigali, Rwanda (TIN 120981530). For anything about your data, write to enquiries@kerubem.com.
What we collect
- Enquiries from this website: your name, email, phone if given, and your message.
- App accounts: name, phone number, email if given, your unit and role, language and notification choices.
- What you do in the app: service requests, repair reports and photos you add, visitor passes and the visitor names you enter, votes and ratings.
- Staff: shift start and end times and the post chosen. If a manager turns on the location check, your phone's location is read once, at the moment you start a shift, and only the distance to the building is kept.
- Owners: service-charge invoices and payments for your units.
Why
To run the buildings we manage, answer enquiries, send you the notices and alerts you choose, and keep a record of the work done. News and offers are sent only if you agreed, and you can stop them at any time.
Who sees it
Only the people who need it for their role: KERUB managers, the staff handling your request, and, for services delivered by a partner, that partner for your order. The owners' committee sees totals, never names or amounts per owner. When you use Ask KERUB, the assistant receives only the records needed to answer, without names or phone numbers.
Where it is kept
Records are stored in encrypted, access-controlled services operated for KERUB by Vercel and GitHub, and alerts are delivered through the push services of your phone's maker. These providers may hold data outside Rwanda.
How long
For as long as you hold an account or the building is managed by KERUB, then as long as the law requires for financial records. Closed requests and repairs leave everyday view after two years.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use. In the app, open Settings and choose "Delete my account", or write to us. We answer within 30 days.
